When I joined Hoxworth Blood Center in 2016, the organization hadn’t created any new professional video content in over three years—and the videos that did exist didn’t have a reason for their creation, or a desired outcome. It was simply content for content’s sake.
I pushed for nearly two years to contract with a local video production agency to help us with a series of new videos, both live and animated, to address common misconceptions, highlight the importance of blood donation to our community, and promote new donation initiatives. I was responsible for scripting the below videos as well as working with the animator and/or producer on how to best tell these stories and inspire the community to donate.
